The details of our next event have finalized! Gamers' Gauntlet II is set for May 18th-20th, 2001. We will be offering Quake3 CTF 4v4, Counter Strike 5v5, and Quake3 1v1 tournaments as our primary tourneys. Registration for the next Gamers' Gauntlet will open this Monday at 8pm. To kick off the event, we will be talking about the upcoming party online on the mojozilla radio show. Here are the details on how to connect and listen. A completely revised set of tournament rules will be available before registration opens.

Roll the dice, cross your fingers, grab your chicken feet, pack up your mouse and keyboard, and leave your traffic cones at home -- we've decided on the next party date. Gamers' Gauntlet II is happening on the weekend between Mother's Day and Memorial Day weekend, May 18-20th. Once again, the fine folks at Best Western in Burlington have agreed to provide power and space. Registration will open up when we decide on what tournaments we're going to have this time, so if you have any thoughts on that, hit the new forums and speak your mind.

I have just finished implementing a new forum system on our site! :) It's much friendlier than our old message board, and should be much easier for everyone to use. Feel free to send me feedback on it.

I'm sure everyone has seen this post on the message board...but if you missed it here's the link to some "Bawls glassware" Ro posted. Pretty smooth...

Be sure to check out outLAN's new home on rps.net, which Ro is a part of.

Wow, some of our attendees are faster than we are at getting pictures up on the web. [SAQS]dante aka Tempest from old school qwtf, threw up a quick list of pictures and told everyone on our message board. Here is the direct link, thanks alot dante.

Well we're winding down here in Burlington, NC. Would just like to thank everyone that came out and made this event the biggest lan party in NC. If you would like to see hour by hour coverage of the events that happened this weekend head over to ESports-Live.com and read over stx-lagwagon numerous articles :).

I would like to go on record, maybe to brag a little bit, but thanks to our l33t-400-amp-black-box-0-power there were zero power problems the entire weekend.

Thanks again to everyone, both players and staff members, that made this production possible. The staff will be meeting next week to look over and discuss survey's and suggestions from players in order to make the next Gamers Gauntlet even better than this one. See you all around the end of May (No absolute date set).

You've been anticipating it. We've been working on it. Gamers' Gauntlet is nearly upon us. We prepare to partake in sweet, good, LAN party gaming goodness this weekend. But I'm certain you allready knew that.

We have about 60 cases of BAWLs on their way to the event as I type this. That's a pile of BAWLs with which give yourself a serious post-G2 headache with. And we all know how kick ass-in' that will be!

A small reminder for those attending this G2. Please come in and register before hauling your equipment in. There might be a long line and it won't be fun to hold your monitor while your waiting to get signed in.

Be cool, drive safely, and I will be signing autographs at the event. :)

As you can see above this news item, G2 is quickly approaching. Less than a week to go and we're about 17 seats away from being full. Don't count on those seats staying available before we open doors! If you don't reserve a seat and drive all the way to Burlington only to find out we're full, it's going to suck greatly. A seat payed for in advance is a place at the event waiting for you. In other words, get off your ass and pay now. :)

I also direct your attention to a few changes to the menu on the left. Our first update is a revised rules section. If there is a rule, it's in here. Event rules, tournament rules and settings, etc. Go check it out! Our next change is pretty simple. A link to our "store" where you can buy G2 shirts and other stuff.

As the days roll on towards G2, I can promise you that the F.R.A.G. staff will be working our butts off trying to make this event 100 times better than anything we've done before. Till then, be cool.

Shirts! Shirts? Did someone say shirts? We've finally gotten around to creating a l33t shirt design so all you LAN monkeys out there can pimp the wonderfulness that is Gamers' Gauntlet. By using CafePress, we have an easy system for designing, printing, and distributing shirts to all you G2 fans. We've got more than shirts, actually, as you can also get coffee mugs and mousepads bearing the G2 logo.

I apologize for the late date involved and should warn you, CafePress says "you should receive your package within two weeks," which of course might mean that if you ordered them now, they might not arrive by the 23rd. If you don't want to risk it, FedEx 1 and 2-day shipping methods are also available.
